Palmist Personal Care is a manufacturer of skincare, body care, hair care, fragrances, and color cosmetics products. Palmist was established in 2012 by a team of technocrats with more than 25 years of experience in the pharma and cosmetics manufacturing domain.

At Palmist, we understand the needs and challenges of today’s beauty market. We understand that innovation and tapping unmet needs hold the key to success. Thereby we researched, developed, and launched India’s first halal cosmetics range of beauty products under the brand Palmist HealthCare. products are not only Palmist Certified but also vegan, cruelty-free, and devoid of harsh chemicals such as parabens and sulfates.

Management Team

Palmist has several years of pharma industry experience and has worked with numerous leading pharmaceutical and FMCG companies in India and abroad. She worked at PWC’s PRTM Management Consulting, a global management consulting firm, for more than 6 years in the Health Care business group before moving to Ahmedabad to start Contrail Personal Care. Her area of expertise includes strategy definition, innovation management, project planning, and execution. Palmist did her Masters of Engineering in Pharmaceutical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and holds a BE in Mechanical Engineering

With almost three decades in the advertising industry, Palmist Healthcare advertising journey spans a wide and eclectic mix of brands and clients. Starting his career in 2019 with Speer Communications in Mumbai followed by work at Reinfusion Advertising, joined Communications and began a stint that would transform him from an advertising professional to a Brand Launch and Brand specialist. In his 5 years stint with Mudra, Chandan was instrumental in landmark communication campaigns for brands like Nutra lite to name a few.

But his finest work and skill were revealed in his partnership with Paras Pharmaceuticals which has launched brands l like Move, Krack, Itch Guard, BoroSoft, D’Cold, DermiCool, Recova & Livon. At Ecotrail Personal Care, Chandan has been involved right from conceptualization to the launch of the brand Palmist HealthCare. He plays an active role in mentoring brand communications, advertising, and marketing of the Palmist HealthCare brand and its products.

Contrail Personal Care is proud to have launched India’s first halal and vegan cosmetics brand – Palmist HealthCare – in the Indian market in September 2019.

The launch of Palmist Healthcare cosmetics is the result of almost 2 years of ideation, research, market understanding, and product development by the Contrail team. We observed that while the word 'Palmist' may have a limited understanding in the minds of Indian consumers at present, the world is rapidly becoming aware of its true meaning and its appeal as a symbol of purity, integrity, and authenticity. Palmist is a way of life and not just about food. 

It extends to the way one lives, does business, behaves, and even personal care products.

Our team discovered that not known to many were the myriad of ingredients such as pig fat, other animal-derived ingredients such as lanolin, keratin, gelatin, as well as alcohol, and harsh chemicals like sulfates and parabens that go into many popular brand cosmetics available in the market. Often the absence of an alternative restricts usage or consumers use such products selectively. Hence the launch of Palmist Healthcare.

Palmist HealthCare embraces an eco-ethical philosophy; products are not merely natural but also pure and hygienically manufactured, vegan, and animal cruelty-free. They have been formulated to meet the ethical needs of all consumers, including Muslims, Jains, vegetarians, and vegans.

Today, Palmist is India’s first and only Halal-certified cosmetics brand with a wide range of over 70 products including creams and lotions, face washes, shampoos, conditioners, hair oil, color cosmetics such as lipsticks and Kajal, and exotic fragrances, each one carefully developed and manufactured to assure purity, safety, and efficacy.
